Snap Hook Installation Methods and Precautions

1. Choose a suitable installation location

Ensure that the direction of force on the hook is consistent with the direction of pulling force during use to avoid lateral shearing force.

The mounting surface should be flat, firm, and capable of withstanding at least 1.5 times the working load for safety.

For aerial work platforms or structural components, it is recommended to use pre-drilled special holes or reinforced steel plates to improve connection strength.

2. Use the correct fasteners

Use bolts or nuts that comply with the ISO9001:2015 quality system. The thread specification should match the Snap Hook's hole diameter.

Before tightening, check the threads for damage or corrosion. Use an anti-corrosion agent if necessary.

The tightening torque should be set according to the product technical manual or industry standards. The commonly used torque range is 30-80 Nm.

3. Check the connection integrity

After installation, manually pull the Snap Hook to confirm that the buckle opens smoothly and locks automatically under force.

Perform a visual inspection to ensure there is no looseness, deformation, or cracks; if necessary, use a portable non-destructive testing instrument for metallographic or magnetic particle testing.

For critical components, it is recommended to conduct an on-site load test before initial use to verify the actual load-bearing capacity.

4. Regular Maintenance and Replacement

In high-temperature, corrosive, or frequently impacted working environments, a comprehensive inspection of Snap Hook is required every 3-6 months.

If wear, deformation, or signs of metal fatigue are found, replace it immediately to avoid safety accidents due to failure.

Record the time, personnel, and test results of each inspection and replacement to form a complete quality traceability chain.
